PEPPERL+FUCHS Isolator Barrier Zener Barrier KFD2-STC4-EX1

This isolated barrier is designed for intrinsic safety applications in hazardous areas. The device provides power to 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters located in hazardous areas and is also compatible with 2-wire SMART current sources.

The barrier transfers the analog input signal to the safe area as an isolated current value. Digital signals can be superimposed on the input signal in either hazardous or safe areas and are transferred bi-directionally for comprehensive communication capabilities.

When HART communication resistance in the loop is insufficient, the internal 250 Ω resistance between terminals 8 and 9 can be utilized. The device features integrated test sockets in the terminals for convenient connection of HART communicators during testing and maintenance procedures.
