Pepperl+Fuchs KCD2-SOT-2 2-Wire 4-20mA Intrinsically Safe Isolation Barrier DIN Rail Mount Signal Conditioner

The KCD2-SOT-2 is a high-performance 2-channel switch amplifier from Pepperl+Fuchs' K-System, specifically engineered to transfer digital signals from field devices to control systems with complete galvanic isolation. This signal conditioner accepts NAMUR sensors (acc. to EN 60947-5-6) or dry contact inputs and provides two passive transistor outputs for seamless integration with PLCs, DCS systems, and other industrial controllers.

With a compact 12.5 mm width and 24 V DC power supply (via Power Rail or terminals), the KCD2-SOT-2 is the ideal solution for hazardous area signal transfer, digital input isolation, and line fault monitoring in industrial automation and process control applications.

Certified for SIL 2 (SC 3) acc. to IEC/EN 61508, the KCD2-SOT-2 delivers reliable, safety-rated performance for demanding industrial environments.

The KCD2-SOT-2 provides complete galvanic isolation between field circuits and control circuits. The device transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors (proximity sensors, level switches, flow monitors) or dry contacts (mechanical switches, relays, push buttons) from the field to the control system.

• Each input channel independently controls a passive transistor output
• The mode of operation can be reversed via DIP switches (normally open / normally closed)
• Line fault detection (LFD) monitors field wiring integrity and can be disabled if not required
• Fault conditions are indicated via front-panel LEDs according to NAMUR NE44 and a collective error message output on the Power Rail
