Brushless resolvers(FA-SOLVER®)
Brushless resolver can be used for high accurate feedback of position and speed sensing, and pole detection of motor. Through their features of resistance for harsh environment and other reasons, they are used with motors for machine tools and robots, in steelworks.
We collectively call these brushless resolvers as FA-SOLVER®, and renewed their lineup to cope with a new FA era.

Allowable rotation speed of some types may differ from the above values. For details, please refer to each individual specification. In addition, types exceeding 10,000 min-1(rpm) are also available.
High reliability
Resolver has the similar structure to electric motors but has high reliability because of no winding coil on its rotor. In particular, the built-in types are free from maintenance because ball bearings are not installed in them.

Incremental Encoders
Incremental encoders generate pulses in a frequency proportional to the rotational speed.

Resolvers
A resolver is an angle sensor that outputs rotational angles as two-phase AC voltages (analog signals). It features structurally high environmental resistance compared to other sensors due to its simple design comprised of only an iron core and a coil.
The principles of Synchro are similar to those of an electrical transformer. A shaft of the receiver rotates in unison with the rotation of a shaft of the transmitter. Using the above characteristics, Synchro is used for transmitting mechanical angle variation of transmitter over a long distance. (See fig. 1) Synchro is classified into 2 types. Torque Synchro and Control Synchro. Control Synchro detects the angle with receiving mechanical angle variation in the form of output voltage.
Absolute Encoders(Multi-Turn)
Absolute encoders output the absolute value of rotation angles.The encoders are used for position control of servo motors mounted on machine tools or robots.As shown in Figure 2, rotation slits are lined from the center on concentric circles. Slits indicates binary code strings of 2 pulses/rev from the center.Multi-turn absolute encoders memorize the rotation quantity data over one rotation.
